The assessor for the Township of Lenox is Tanya Pifer. Ms. Pifer is a New York State certified assessor and started working for the Township in February of 2003.

The assessor's office is equipped with GIS mapping, digital photos and the New York State version 4 software.

Important Dates To Remember

Taxable Status Date: March 1st
(All Exemption Paperwork Is Due By March 1st)
Tentative Assessment Roll Date: May 1st
Grievance Day: Forth Tuesday In May
Final Assessment Roll Date: July 1st

Board of Assessment Review (BOAR)

The Town of Lenox grievance board meets on Grievance Day, the forth Tuesday in May, to receive complaints of property assessment values. Grievance forms must be completed and received on or before Grievance Day. Grievance forms are available at the assessor's office or online at www.orps.state.ny.us

Property owners who are dissatisfied with the BOAR determinations may file small claims no later than 30 days after the filing of the Final assessment roll

The Town of Lenox current Equalization Rate is 100%.
